Join us for the unveiling of Blessed Sacrament Church’s Centennial Celebration Masterpiece!
The unveiling of the artwork will take place after each Mass this weekend (June 27/28). The Artist will be available to meet the Parish after the 10:30 Mass on Sunday, June 28th
Renowned, local artist and Savannahian, Sharon Saseen, has been commissioned to produce a memorial montage of the last 100 years of Blessed Sacrament. Works of homes and vibrant gardens (Charles Rogers House, left image) have graced her easel as she records the unique architecture of the South. The thirtieth anniversary of the Historic Savannah Foundation was celebrated with the unveiling of her rendition of the Old City Market. In 1995, Savannah News Press honored her as “Savannah’s Best
Artist,” and in 2001, Creative Loafing renewed this honor by naming her “Best Local Artist.”
Blessed Sacrament is pleased to have her put 100 years of our history into her collection. The original art work will be presented after each Mass next weekend. Please join us as we celebrate the unveiling and Father Brannen’s last mass as our pastor. Sharon has personally signed limited-editions for our parishioners. You may purchase your signed print after Mass with a minimum donation of $100 to Seeds of Change. You won’t want to miss the opportunity own one of these signed keepsakes!
MEET THE ARTIST! Sharon will be available after the 10:30 Mass next weekend, June 28th, in the BSS Gym to greet everyone. Refreshments provided.
Special notes of thank you to Sharon Saseen and Kennickell Printing for assisting in this production.
