Artwork Created for Blessed Sacrament
Renowned, local artist and Savannahian, Sharon Saseen, has created and donated a memorial montage masterpiece showcasing the last 100 years of Blessed Sacrament. Her original artwork is displayed in the gym lobby – please feel free to come by and view it.
Limited edition signed prints are available in the Parish Office, for $100 each.
Proceeds help cover the costs of the centennial projects we have sponsored honoring our One Hundred Years of Faith.
Sharen Saseen’s many artistic works of homes and vibrant gardens (Charles Rogers House, left image) record the unique architecture of the South. The thirtieth anniversary of the Historic Savannah Foundation was celebrated with the unveiling of her rendition of the Old City Market. In 1995, Savannah News Press honored her as “Savannah’s Best Artist,” and in 2001, Creative Loafing renewed this honor by naming her “Best Local Artist.”
Blessed Sacrament is pleased to have her put 100 years of our history into her collection. Sharon has personally signed limited-editions for our parishioners. You won’t want to miss the opportunity own one of these signed keepsakes!
THANK YOU Sharon Saseen for generously donating this masterpiece and for sharing your talents with the Blessed Sacrament family!
Also, THANK YOU Trip Kennickell and Kennickell Printing for generously donating 300 high quality prints of the historic montage!
