FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 22nd
The Franciscan Friars will be visiting Blessed Sacrament Church and sharing with us the first class relics of St. Anthony of Padua. St. Anthony will be visiting you in the form of two precious and first-class relics from the Pontifical Basilica in Padua, Italy. The relics will be accompanied by Father Bortolino Maistrello, one of fifty-four OFM Conventual Franciscan Friars who minister in the Basilica where the Saint is buried. This is the Franciscan order of St. Francis of Assisi. St. Francis and St. Anthony of Padua knew each other during their lifetime in the 13th century.
Please save the date and plan to attend this much anticipated event! Parents are welcome to join their child during school veneration hours. All are welcome to attend public veneration and holy mass.
Veneration begins at 5 PM.
Holy Mass will be at 7 PM.
What a wonderful way to help you prepare for Lent, which begins on Ash Wednesday, March 6th.
