WELCOME Tim!

Welcome Timothy Remsen!

A  special  welcome  to Tim Remsen,  our new Music Director here at Blessed Sacrament.  After a few delays and one hurricane, we are happy to announce that Tim is here!

Tim comes to us from New York where he has  had  a long and distinguished career leading music in Catholic Churches since 1994.  He is  a master organist and  pianist, and he

has extensive experience forming and leading church choirs.  Tim graduated from LaSalle Military Academy in Oakdale, N.Y. in 1986 and received his B.A. in Music: Organ and Voice from Molloy College in Rockville Center, N.Y. in 2001.

Tim  will  also  be our  music teacher  at Blessed Sacrament School, another position in which he has much experience.  He has formed and trained children’s choirs, Spanish choirs, cantor programs and adult choirs.  He has also been an R.C.I.A. teacher in his former churches.

Tim arrives  at  BSC during a time of transition.  The sanctuary is being renovated, the school has started another school year and many things are happening quickly.  Tim told us that one of the reasons he wants to move to Savannah is for a slower pace of life. Please  stop by the organ bench and personally welcome Tim to Blessed Sacrament and to Savannah.  He will be a great gift to our music program both in Church and School!

I would also like to give a special thank you to our music director search committee: Paige Phillips, Mary Alice Garvin, Cynthia Heil, Cynthia Cyr, Tiller Tomasin and Rachel Brungardt.  They did a great job in helping us to find Timothy Remsen!

If you have been considering  stewardship at Blessed  Sacrament and the Lord has been reminding you to use the gift of your voice to bless others, now is the perfect opportunity for you to come forward!   Contact Tim to learn more about joining the Youth Choir or Adult Choir.  (tremsen@bss-savannah.org)
