Brought to you by Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in conjunction with Dynamic Catholic, WELCOME (CRHP 2.0) is a life renewing experience.  It’s a weekend filled with faith, fellowship, prayer, self-reflection and peace.

What is the Welcome Retreat?

A two day, overnight retreat beginning Saturday Morning and ending Sunday afternoon; presented for the parishioners of Blessed Sacrament by the parishioners of Blessed Sacrament.  It is an experience that helps you discover what is missing in your life and what to do about it; an experience you will long remember as a defining moment in your life; an experience that may help you find the joy and happiness you are seeking.

What is the Cost?

The retreat is a gift from the parish community and is free to all who attend. It includes all meals, snacks, and social time refreshments.  The food is great, the conversation and social times are engaging, and the witness talks are guaranteed to challenge you to reflect on your walk with Christ.

What happens during the Retreat?

Prayer, reflection and discussion.  Those who have participated in the retreat experience say, “you can’t explain it; you just have to experience it.” This is your invitation for that experience.” The retreat is a time for community building and spiritual growth – interacting with other members of the parish to hear their stories, their walk with Christ, and why their faith is important to them.

Who may participate in this Retreat?

The Welcome Weekend is open to all Blessed Sacrament parishioners, age 21 or older.

Parishioner comments on the retreat.

Men’s retreat:

“As the weekend approached, I was regretting having committed to going.  Spending a weekend with men I did not know or barely knew; men who were probably very strong in their faith and would have no trouble discussing it openly – and then spending the night, sleeping on an air mattress – what was I thinking? I can’t begin to tell you how glad I am that I came, though.  By Sunday afternoon, I did not want the weekend to end – the experience was beyond anything I could have hoped for or imagined.  It truly has been an experience I will cherish the rest of my life.  I feel more a part of Blessed Sacrament – I actually know people and I am more committed to my faith than I thought possible.

My sincere thanks to all of you who helped make this weekend possible – everything was perfect.  Thank you and God Bless you.”

Women’s Retreat:

“This has been an amazing experience.  Thank you so much for your time and commitment these last few months.  Thank you so much for having the courage to share how Christ’s love manifests itself in your life experiences.  Each of your stories were touching and spoke to my heart and soul.  Your stories – your sharing allowed me to peel back the layers and tear down walls, assumptions, etc.  I feel blessed to have met you and I hope that this sense of community continues to grow.”

“This weekend was simply beautiful.   I loved the sharing.  I loved the sense of community and sisterhood.”
